Throughout Gershwin's career, he was blasted by critics and contemporaries - questioning his music's validity, and seriousness.

His quest to study with the greats were turned down, as to not disturb his musical path. Ultimately, being himself is what helped make his mark.

Minnesota Brass drum & bugle corps has been in operation since 1946. Through the corps' history it has grown to include a winter ensembles. MBI Winds is an all-age, all instrument, WGI Winds ensemble that promotes inclusion in all forms.
