MPA 19 Giving Tuesday Thanks

Each year, the Minnesota Percussion Association (MPA) provides four scholarships to deserving MPA performers and eligible instructors. These scholarships provide much-needed funds to support the recipients’ academic and performing arts endeavors.

Our first Giving Tuesday fundraiser was a huge success! Thank you!

Go to our Facebook page if you would still like to donate. All donations are still very much appreciated!

Fundraising goal: $1,000

Individual giving levels:

  • $500 — Named Scholarship Sponsor: You have the option for a scholarship for the 2019 season to be named in your or your company's honor.
  • $250 — Season Scholarship Supporting Sponsor: Your name or company can be promoted as a sponsor for one of the existing scholarships for the 2019 season.
  • $100 or below — Scholarship Supporter: Your gift helps provide part of a scholarship to a deserving recipient.

All gifts will be recognized in the 2019 MPA Championships program booklet and on our website and social media, and sponsors ($250+) will be announced during the championships awards ceremony as scholarships are presented.

We are monitoring the situation and will provide an update when available.

Thank you for your patience!

Dick Rausch, a long-time instructor of the Rocori High School Drumline and namesake of MPA's Dick Rausch Instructor of the Year award, passed away at age 63 on Nov. 22. He was a teacher, performer, friend, and mentor to so many in the percussion community in Minnesota, though his influence reached far beyond. His impact is impossible to summarize, but this tribute from one of the people who knew him best might come close.
